The child welfare committee is a vital part of our organization. This committee's objective is to meet the short term food, clothing, educational and emotional needs of the children referred to the Brookhaven Junior Auxiliary. This committee has three objectives:
1.
Help those in need
| Each school in the county will have a clothes closet maintained by Brookhaven JA. | |
| Counselors and principals refer students to us for any type of assistance. |
2.
Adopt-A-Family
| We will adopt at least 4 families who are doing their best but need a little extra help (these families will be referrals from the school counselors and principals) |
3.
Burn Out Families
| We will provide clothing for the children. |
This committee also works with other agencies in Lincoln County to better help our children.
